Coperaguas, together with Embrapa, LC Sementes and Brasil Agropulses, promoted last November 18 and 19, the seminar “Cowpea Beans: Market, genetic improvement and handling strategies”. The event had as target audience, besides Mato Grosso upstate producers, resellers, technicians, students and other professionals involved on this culture production. Several subjects were discussed as the prospects of national and international market, the different varieties and their characteristics, the handling, the factors that promote or hinder productivity and grain quality (control of pests and diseases, weeds, plant nutrition, among others).
Investing in events such as this Seminar, Coperaguas, Embrapa, LC Seeds and Brasil Agropulses expect to collaborate with its members and other partners in improving the cowpea bean culture, seeking alternatives for second and third harvests with better quality products to its customers in domestic and international markets, aiming to bring financial return that remunerates the local supply chain.
